Green Studio
At Spring Pilates & Yoga, we believe maintaining a healthy body and mind must be supported by an equal practice of eco-responsibility. We are working toward green certification of our studio as a part of our commitment to create a sustainable planet. In addition to being good for the planet, our green studio is also good for you.
Green Renovation
We have outfitted two of our rooms with bamboo flooring, and the entire studio was painted with low or no-VOC emissions paint (VOC stands for volatile organic compounds, which in other kinds of paint, can be released into the air and cause health problems). We capitalize on natural lighting through our multiple, large skylights and windows, thus reducing our energy consumption.
Green Lifestyle
We offer fresh spring water to our clients, and encourage them to bring their own water bottles to reduce the use of paper cups. We also use recycled paper materials, and have full recycling services in the studio for the paper products we consume.
In keeping with our commitment to further “green” the studio, we sell eco-conscious and local products, such as:
- ToeSox – made with organic cotton
- EarthLust – Aluminum water bottles manufactured here in San Francisco
- Flip & Tumble – Stylish reusable totes produced from a San Francisco company
- GreenZebra – a book of coupons for the eco-conscious consumer
- See our full inventory of retail items
In addition, we hold frequent benefit classes for environmental and charitable organizations. These classes are free with a donation to the designated organization.
